The City is planning for the 40th project year for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The application for the 40th Year CDBG is due to Broward County on December 3, 2013 and requires a City Commission resolution. In addition, two public meetings will be conducted. The first will be held on Monday, December 2nd at 5 PM at City Hall. The second meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 11th at 5 PM. |

Description of Action |

The City administration proposes a neighborhood streetscape project, as a continuation of the Oasis initiative, for the 40th Year. The proposed project will be located within CDBG eligible census block groups generally within the Community Redevelopment Agency boundary or other CDBG eligible benefit areas (See attached map). Project components include street lighting, landscaping, crosswalks, accessible curbing, and signage. The extent of the project will be dictated by the amount of CDBG funds received. Initial estimates for the grant amount are approximately $155,540. The streetscape improvements will be installed until CDBG funds are depleted; the CDBG program does not require a match of City funds. |
